In the mountains

This week, following a surprisingly unstressful seven-hours in the car (particularly unstressful as I didn’t do any of the driving) we arrived in Morzine in the French Alps. Hooray!!!

I have written before about how much I love the mountains in summer and this time we are being hosted by VIP Ski, the people who looked after me so well when I broke my leg on a press trip in St Anton earlier this year.

The last two weeks have been spent in fairly basic holiday flats, this one is nothing like those. We have an enormous living room with a huge squashy L-shaped sofa, proper kitchen, bedrooms with duvets, crisp linen and ensuite bathrooms, and I know it’s sad to care about this, even English telly.

But best of all, in the morning our host Rob comes in and cooks us bacon and eggs! How fantastic is that?

Today we have spent a sunny afternoon by the stunning Lac Montrbriond, away from the humidity and searing heat of the the last week. Just lovely.

Lac Montrbriond looks gorgeous – great place for a family holiday. I’ve just got back from the Bavarian Forest with my 5 month old and 3 year old and we had a great time exploring the forest and mountains – looking forward to hearing about your holiday. Have fun.

  2. Thank you! We are really enjoying it!:)
